Who we are
KetoLife (ketolife.live) is a guide to eating low-carb — covering restaurants, recipes, meal prep, and the science behind the diet.
What we collect
Device data. When you use tools like the meal-prep calculator or save recipes, we generate an anonymous device ID stored in your browser so your data follows you between sessions. We do not require an account, name, or email to use the site.
Location (optional). The Restaurants page can ask for your location to show nearby keto-friendly options. You can decline; we'll fall back to manual entry. Location data is used only to query nearby restaurants and is not sold.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries:
- Essential — your device ID, consent choice, and UI preferences. These are required for the site to function and are not used for tracking.
- Advertising (Google AdSense) — only loaded if you click "Accept" on the consent banner. AdSense may set cookies to serve and measure ads. See Google's advertising policies.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser, which will re-show the consent banner.
Third-party services
- Google AdSense — serves ads. Loaded only with consent.
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — stores your saved recipes, meal plans, and (if you opt in) sync data linked to your anonymous device ID.
- Cloudflare — hosting and CDN.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the data tied to your device. Because we don't collect names or emails, the simplest way to delete your data is to clear your browser's site data for ketolife.live. For anything else, contact us using the address below.
Data retention
Saved recipes and meal plans persist until you delete them or clear site data. Anonymous server logs are retained for up to 30 days.
Children
KetoLife is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes.
